Skin needling (also known as dry tattooing and collagen induction therapy) is an effective, long lasting treatment for fine lines, wrinkles, surgical scars, acne scars and stretch marks.

The concept of skin needling is based on the skin’s natural ability to repair itself from physical trauma such as cuts, scratches, burns and other abrasions.

The procedure is performed with a needle grouping that penetrates the dermal layer of the skin causing micro injuries and induces the skin to begin a process of wound healing that is followed by the production of new collagen and elastin. The production of new collagen and elastin continues for up to 6 month after the procedure. Depressed surgical and acne scars, wrinkles, fine lines, stretch marks and skin texture are all improved as a result.

Skin needling produces results comparable to such treatments as laser, dermabrasion and deep chemical peels, but is much less invasive and does not require the removal of the skin surface. Skin needling gives better results than other “non-ablative techniques” with hardly any pain or post-treatment discomfort. It is also one of the few skin therapies that is suitable for treating all skin types, including fragile skin around the eyes, mouth and neck.
